Last year I wrote that no one is out of your league. And while it was meant to highlight that looks and the symbols of success aren’t everything because how you’re treated is more important, it’s still idealistic to an extent.

(If you really want to read it, it’s here.)

I still stand by the statement that looks and the symbols of success aren’t everything, but you cannot ignore that they are both important factors. You cannot ignore that how you are treated is an important factor. You cannot ignore that your attraction to them is an important factor. Anything you consider to be vital to the health of the relationship is exactly that — vital.

Pardon the generalizations but for the most part, what is the one thing men and masculine people tend to value in the people they desire? Physical beauty.

For the most part, what is the one thing women and feminine people tend to value in the people they desire? Personality or success.

If you meet someone who has physical beauty or is a great and successful person but they don’t treat you well, you wouldn’t date them. Or maybe you would, but the relationship would be terrible.

Conversely, if you meet someone who treats you well but they lack physical beauty or are lowly, you wouldn’t date them…
